Article from FIO: Shnier's 3rd Annual FloorsFirst Summit
Toronto, April 2003 - Shnier held their 3rd annual Floors First Summit on April 3rd and 4th, 2003 at the Delta Chelsea in downtown Toronto. The 2003 National Summit witnessed record attendance, with 260 Dealer members in session from across the country and numerous Shnier employees and suppliers.
Shnier's CEO, Ed duDomaine, opened the Summit by addressing the Summit theme - Commitment. To paraphrase, "commitment is a key ingredient to your success, our success, and the success we accomplish together". "Failure to commit in life is synonymous with the failure to succeed." A variety of keynote speakers including Shnier Executives, industry experts, and professional motivational speakers followed the opening address. Best selling author and inductee to the Speaker Hall of Fame, Dr. Tom Connellan, spoke to "Committing to Exceptional Customer Experiences" and "How to Put a Lock on Customer Loyalty". Patrick Bowie, VP Quality, Milliken & Co. spoke on defining your business strategy as well as developing your business concept and leadership. Tony Pigott, President & CEO of J. Walter Thompson Advertising cited numerous examples of companies that have successfully created brand value in a defined target market. Thomas Winninger, author and award winning speaker, presented a power packed, thought provoking and entertaining key note address and on the second facilitated a workshop session on "Winning the Battle for Market Share Utilizing a Customer Value Strategy".
The Summit also included an outstanding showcase of marketing programs and an impressive and diverse line-up of new products and displays. The 2003 FloorsFirst Summit was regarded as the best yet. We are looking forward to the FloorsFirst Summit for 2004.
